I love
Starting off my week with a great workout.
I’m going to miss CrossFit so much :(
Starting off my week with a great workout.
I’m going to miss CrossFit so much :(
After yesterday’s and today’s workouts… It’s time for some sweet foam roller love.
Finally!
Tabata squats this morning.
I remember when my max power clean was 135 lbs. Today I used 135 on the WOD and it was actually not too bad. :)
I love feeling myself getting stronger, but it’s kinda weird not seeing my body progress as my strength does. Guess it takes a while? Any suggestions?
I’ve kinda just given up on the idea that my legs will one day be cut/scrape/bruise free
Now I really need to work on getting stronger.
HOW DO I GET STRONGER?
Worked out at the 6:30 AM class this morning since I have work/school all day today until 8:30 PM.
Today’s workout was Helen and was for the leader board.
There’s this kid that I find really annoying… probably one of the only guys that’s smaller than me at the box. I just always see him cheat during workouts, but anyway, right before he started he comes up to me and says “guess your my competition this morning, huh?” I got me mad and I thought to myself “No, you’re not my competition because you’re using a 35 lb kettle bell while I’m doing Rx (53 lb). Also, you’re an asshole.”
Anyway, ended up beating him and making a good time of 9:29.
Time to eat and get ready for a long day.
Happy birthday to Isa, the 5 foot, 16 year old who can lift more than me! I know the form isn’t the best, but she’s a 130 lb girl lifting a 305 lb barbell. She’s a beast!
Crossfit Problems.
Other than the family atmosphere, I think my favorite part about Crossfit is that it’s changed my mentality to want to be stronger rather than looking better.
As busy as I was… this was a good PR week.
275 deadlift
Started using a 62 lb kettle bell
and today, PRd with at 145 squat clean
I know it’s not much, but I’m getting there. As soon as I finish this semester, I’m going to start going harder with my workouts.
Post WOD laughs.
Just another day at the bar. (at X-fit Reloaded)
So I officially can say that I’ve competed at a crossfit event now.
It was such a great and humbling experience. Even though this was just a small, in-house challenge… it was a really good experience especially for my first time competing.
A year ago today, I would have never imagined I would be able to do this kind of stuff. As cheesy as it sounds, Crossfit has made a really big impact on my life. Since the first time I walked into that gym, the coaches and other people have treated me as an athlete. I love the fact that everyone was cheering with each other and making sure each of us gave all we had. I’m very ready to continue getting better and stronger.
Get muddy! #warriordash
